May 19th, 2017

Fiddler’s Creek announces the interior design details of the three-bedroom Villa Adriana II, a single-family move-in-ready home built by Harbourside Custom Homes.

The fully furnished residence overlooks the 15th fairway of the award-winning Arthur Hills-designed Creek Course in the exclusive gated village of Marsh Cove within the luxury master-planned community.

The Villa Adriana II offers a study, wet bar, three full bathrooms and a pool bath. The home has 2,742 square feet of living space and features an open floor plan combining the great room, kitchen and dining area.

Sliding glass doors in the dining and great rooms flow out to a covered lanai offering an outdoor kitchen and fireplace. The Villa Adriana II also features a custom pool and spa.

With interior design by Charlie Hansen and Rebekah Errett-Pikosky of Clive Daniel Home, the home blends classic and soft contemporary furniture, light and dark wood tones against a palette of white and grays, and teal and turquoise accents. The home also features custom cabinetry and wall and ceiling treatments throughout main living areas.

Double doors open to the foyer, which features a tray ceiling, tile inlay in the floor and a metallic, circular chandelier. A gallery hallway passes the two guest suites and study and introduces the open floor plan at the great room.

Gray tones in the great room are introduced in the painted surface of the media wall and upholstered furniture. The center of the media wall features a watercolor-inspired wallcovering and a wood console with a raised glass top positioned under the TV. The ceiling features a tongue-and-groove surface and a tiered chandelier rendered in turquoise and white.

The adjoining kitchen features white perimeter cabinetry with a java glaze, Smokey Mountain countertops, and a tray ceiling repeating the deep teal accents of the great room. A large, freestanding island has a contrasting stained charcoal finish and offers a breakfast bar, double sink and dishwasher. The kitchen also features a built-in microwave and oven with cooktop, side-by-side refrigerator-freezer and walk-in pantry.
The wet bar offers the same cabinetry and countertops as the kitchen, a full backsplash, wine refrigerator, and sink. Its upper cabinetry has screen glass doors.

Pocketing doors from the foyer open to the study that features soft gray-blue painted walls, contrasting crisp, white tray ceiling and artwork with aqua and indigo accents.

The master suite offers his-and-her walk-in closets and sliding doors in the bedroom opening to the pool deck. The bedroom features soft-gray walls and a recessed headboard wall finished with a gray and white wallcovering that mimics the tray ceiling’s drop detail.

The master bathroom features a maple vanity with two sinks and an Alaska white granite countertop. The floor is finished in white porcelain tile, and the shower walls are accented with gray and white hexagonal mosaics and pale aqua glass.

The Villa Adriana II’s two guest suites are located on each side of the foyer. One highlights shades of teal and turquoise in the furnishings and artwork, interjected against the grays of the bedding and finishes. Its private full bathroom has a vanity with two sinks, a china finish with pewter glaze and a cotton white countertop. The bathroom’s white-gray matte porcelain tile floor is repeated as a mosaic in the shower on the floor and walls.

The second guest room embraces gray in the furniture and finishes, including an upholstered bed, nightstands, and bathroom vanity and flooring.

The home’s gray and teal color palette is played up in outdoor living areas, which offer spaces for sitting, sunning and dining. The outdoor kitchen has espresso-finished cabinetry, azurite countertops, a grill, sink and refrigerator, and the fireplace features a tobacco polished tile surface.

The pool bath has a charcoal finished wall-hung vanity with an Alaska white countertop.
Gray staggered mosaic tile accents the waterline of the pool and raised spa, which has a spillway. The pool offers a swim out bench and two fountains.

The Villa Adriana II spans 3,903 total square feet, including covered entry, lanai and two-car garage, and is priced at $1,699,000, fully furnished.

Harbourside is offering nine floor plans in its Marsh Cove enclave that overlooks lakes and fairways; home and lot packages are priced from $975,000 to more than $1.5 million. Fiddler’s Creek announces opening of the Aviano, Harbourside Custom Homes’ first fully furnished model in Marsh Cove

March 17th, 2017

Fiddler’s Creek announces the completion of the Aviano, a three-bedroom luxury model home built by Harbourside Custom Homes in the exclusive gated village of Marsh Cove within the luxury master-planned community.

Now open for viewing, the fully furnished single-family model overlooks the 15th fairway of the award-winning Creek Course at Fiddler’s Creek. The home offers a formal dining room, study, three full bathrooms plus a powder room, and features an open great room floor plan and three-car garage.
The Aviano also has a large outdoor area with a custom pool and spa, summer kitchen and designer fireplace.

Collins & DuPont Design Group introduces a palette of gray and taupe with black and gold undertones, rich dark wood furniture, and fabric featuring artwork and patterns that echo the swirls and movement of the Aviano’s granite and quartzite countertops and wide-plank oak wood flooring. Pale-gray painted walls, paired with crisp white trim and the grayed driftwood floor, continues throughout the main gathering areas in the model’s 2,769 square feet of air-conditioned living space.

Contemporary and vintage-inspired pendant lighting lends a contrast to select mid-century modern shapes and rustic finishes. The Aviano also features custom kitchen cabinetry and bathroom vanities, textured and mosaic glass accents, and cove modeling in ceilings.

The open floor plan is unveiled inside the double frosted-glass entry doors where foyer, dining room, great room, kitchen and breakfast nook blend to offer a large, open space for entertaining. Sliding glass doors in the great room open to the 422-square-foot covered lanai.

The dining room’s ceiling is accented with picture-frame molding and three glass pendants with hints of gold. The room offers seating for eight at an espresso-hued wood table. Its chairs add eye appeal with swirling-patterned upholstered seats.

The great room has a tray ceiling with intersecting white painted beams and seven cylindrical glass pendants hung at different lengths. It offers a large sofa and four accent chairs, including two with curved tubular arms and a modern form.

The adjoining kitchen features contrasting cabinetry – the dark graphite finish of the alder wood island complementing the lighter painted pewter glaze of perimeter cabinetry. The freestanding island offers a double sink, dishwasher and a cantilevered allure quartzite countertop for in-room dining at four gray upholstered bar stools. The quartzite features shades of gray and tan that are illuminated by a trio of spinning top-shaped glass pendants.

Blue savoy quartz countertops provide additional workspace throughout the kitchen. The snow palace backsplash above the range is installed in a random brick pattern and has highlights of gray against a white background. The kitchen offers a stainless steel side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, an oven tower, and a wine bar with an under-counter paneled wine refrigerator and fluted glass cabinet doors with LED lighting and glass shelves.

An adjacent dining nook offers casual dining and overlooks the pool area through a three-paneled aquarium glass window. Its chandelier features bead-trimmed leaves.
The study is located just off the foyer, its double glass French doors enhancing the open plan concept. The room offers a rustic-finished wood desk, black etageres with random shelving, and a sofa with gold-accented pillows flanked by vintage-inspired floor lamps.

The 7.5-inch wide wood plank flooring continues into the master bedroom, which offers sliding doors to a private area of the sundeck, an upholstered headboard with nailhead trim, and a console dresser with gold detailing and an art deco-influenced shape. Gold and black accents play off gray walls. A tufted barrel chair with matching ottoman provides elegant seating.

The master suite also offers his-and-her walk-in closets. Its bathroom features a freestanding tub, walk-in shower, and double vanities finished with a chocolate glaze and Taj Mahal quartzite countertops, which have a soft white background and subtle gold veins. Her vanity offers a waterfall edge and built-in makeup table with a Lucite chair.

Finishes include large format sand-hued porcelain tile flooring and a dramatic shower accented with horizontal tile bands and inlays of mosaic glass shaped like an eye and arranged both in groups and singularly.

The Aviano’s two guest rooms are found off the great room and a hallway from the kitchen. One combines white and gray with rustic and contemporary finishes. Its private bathroom also is rendered in gray and white and has an icicle quartzite counter atop a maple vanity with painted black glacier-effect finish. The glass-enclosed shower is a canvas for gray background tile with white tile inserts arranged in a loosely interpreted ladder design.

The second bedroom offers an upholstered bed and accents of emerald with black undertones. Its bathroom has a carbide-painted vanity with Taj Mahal quartzite countertop, doors and open shelving. Retro hexagon glass tile inserts accent the tile walls of the glass-enclosed shower.

The laundry room is nearby and offers a front-loading washer and dryer and large counter with a deep sink.
The powder room doubles as a pool bath and features a wall-mounted custom vanity with a light crocodile finish, a radius front, and white glass top with an integrated round sink.

The Aviano’s outdoor spaces connect with its interior. The custom fireplace and TV, just off the great room, are encased in gray and wood-inspired tile. The model also offers an alfresco dining area, outdoor shower, and a summer kitchen and wet bar with weathered graphite-finished cabinetry, a granite countertop, full granite backsplash, refrigerator and gas grill.

The custom pool offers a sun shelf and slightly raised spa with two spillways. The sparkle black iridescent mosaic waterline of both echoes the colors and shimmer detailing inside the Aviano.
The Aviano’s Mediterranean-style architecture features a white exterior with soft gray accents, driftwood-finished planked garage doors, and a paver driveway.

The model, featuring 4,124 total square feet, is priced at $1,775,000, fully furnished.
The Aviano is Harbourside Custom Homes’ first of three models to be completed on the builder’s 22 single-family homesites in Marsh Cove. The Villa Adriana II and the move-in ready Villa Roma are scheduled to open in late March.

Fiddler’s Creek ranked among top 4 percent of private clubs in the world for the second year

January 19th, 2017

Fiddler’s Creek has been awarded its second consecutive Distinguished Emerald Club of the World designation, an honor attained by only 4 percent of all international private clubs.

“Receiving the Distinguished Emerald Club designation for two consecutive years demonstrates our efforts to continually elevate the club experience for our members and their guests,” said Aubrey Ferrao, CEO of Fiddler’s Creek Community LLC. “We are dedicated to providing exceptional amenities and service at Fiddler’s Creek, and this award recognizes and honors that commitment.”

Presented annually by BoardRoom magazine – considered the most influential trade publication in the private club industry – the Distinguished Emerald Club program recognizes clubs offering the most memorable membership experiences. Clubs are evaluated in 10 categories, including golf, dining, fitness and clubhouse.

“We congratulate Fiddler’s Creek on being named a Distinguished Emerald Club for the second year,” said John Fornaro, the publisher of BoardRoom, which designed the program to recognize and preserve the private club tradition. “Special recognition also goes to the management team, as well as the club’s board of directors, department heads and the entire staff, for their efforts in providing an excellent member experience.”
Potential clubs are peer-recommended by a committee of industry experts and top private club general managers. BoardRoom executives, who have visited more than 5,000 clubs worldwide, visited Fiddler’s Creek and used a proprietary club-specific rating system focusing on food and beverage service, golf operations and courses, tennis, aquatics, spa, and club facilities, as well as intangible qualities such as reputation, traditions, history and lore.

“Our members have always enjoyed an unrivaled experience at The Club & Spa at Fiddler’s Creek,” said Ron Albeit, general manager. “Being named a Distinguished Emerald Club truly is one of the top honors a private club can receive. It really gives our members bragging rights.”

Fiddler’s Creek’s signature 18-hole Creek Course, designed by acclaimed golf course architect Arthur Hills, has created legendary moments since its opening in February 2002. Named among Golfweek Magazine’s Top 100 Best Residential Golf Courses in the country for 12 consecutive years, the course was designed within existing marshlands, nature preserves, creeks and waterways in the 4,000-acre Fiddler’s Creek, a luxury master-planned community on Collier Boulevard on the way to Marco Island.

The Creek Course and Fiddler’s Creek also have received recognition in Links magazine as one of America’s 100 Premier Properties, Travel + Leisure Golf magazine’s America’s Top 100 Golf Communities, and GolfCourseRealty.com’s Top 10 Best Residential Courses in the Sunshine State.

Fiddler’s Creek residents donate 800 school supplies to Manatee Elementary students

December 29th, 2016

Fiddler’s Creek residents recently donated more than 800 back-to-school items for students starting the new year at Manatee Elementary School.

“Once again, we are in awe of the generosity of the Fiddler’s Creek community,” said Manatee Elementary Principal Wendy Borowski. “Through the donations of Fiddler’s Creek residents, we have been able to help so many students and families who otherwise might not have the materials they need to help them transition to the new school year smoothly.”

Fiddler’s Creek residents Chris Connors, George Rogers and Al Tetta – along with the membership and activities team from The Club & Spa at Fiddler’s Creek – delivered 69 backpacks, 60 pairs of shoes, 156 notebooks, 49 composition books, 47 binders, 42 lunch boxes and enough school essentials to check off the supply lists for dozens of students.

“For more than 20 years, we look forward to the school year as much as the students and are happy to encourage their success,” Rogers said. “After talking with Wendy and hearing about “additional students’ needs, we plan to hold a New Year, New Shoes and Backpacks drive in January with the goal of finishing the school year refreshed and focused.”

The annual school supply drive at Fiddler’s Creek started several years ago after a resident learned many students started the school year without shoes. Just this year, donations doubled when residents learned about a little boy who was concerned about returning to school because he didn’t think his parents would have money to buy him supplies. An assistant principal – with Fiddler’s Creek in mind – assured the boy his needs would be met, changing his entire attitude about the new school year.
