Fiddler’s Creek tennis event raises $11,656 for Bosom Buddies

Fiddler’s Creek raised $11,656 during its third annual Bosom Buddies tennis exhibition and silent auction.

The exhibition featured local tennis professionals – Scott Pennington, Stevie Kennedy, Natalia Maynetto, Nastya Zviahintseva, Eva Raszkiewicz and Deso Borov – at The Club & Spa at Fiddler’s Creek.

Silent auction items donated by Fiddler’s Creek tennis league members, residents and local businesses featured vacation getaways; rounds of golf; themed baskets for food, tennis and wine enthusiasts; gift certificates for merchandise and dining; and more.

Bosom Buddies provides physical, emotional and educational support for women with breast cancer and lymphedema.

“Fiddler’s Creek is pleased to again support this great cause,” said Aubrey J. Ferrao, CEO of Fiddler’s Creek Community LLC. “We applaud our residents’ participation, which has resulted in a contribution that is more than double the amount raised in the event’s inaugural year in 2015.”

“We are thankful to The Club & Spa at Fiddler’s Creek and to the residents’ amazing donation – they are helping us carry out our mission,” said Joetta Abbazio, Bosom Buddies president and chairman of the board. “Their hard work and dedication is going to ease the journey for our patients so they can concentrate on healing.”
